The Section Meeting scheduled for June 2020 has been cancelled due to the Corona Virus concerns. Future meetings are in doubt until this virus passes. We do not know if the September meeting will be held; we will just have to see how this goes. All of you please take care.

It is my pleasure to announce that Virginia Shaver is this year’s PNCWA Western Washington Region WWTP Operator of the Year. Virginia is a Senior Operator at the City of Tacoma’s Central Treatment plant.
Please join me in congratulating Virginia and thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination. Likewise, a tremendous thank you to all of our region’s operators and other essential WWTP staff who continue to make our communities safe and livable through their ongoing efforts.

Aaron Triano, Wastewater Maintenance Specialist with Pierce County, is this year’s PNCWA Western WA Collection System Operator of the Year. Aaron has been with Pierce County since 2012 and has leveraged his intellect, fabrication skills, and wastewater knowledge to help optimize elements of Pierce County’s collection system and wastewater treatment facilities. We are fortunate to have talented folks, such as Aaron, in public service helping to keep our waterways clean and healthy.
